Privacy Policy
Last updated · July 4, 2026The short version: this website has no contact form and collects nothing you type — it's here to show you the tacos and help you find the truck. We don't sell your information, we don't run advertising trackers, and you can ask us what (if anything) we hold at any time.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Tacos Tierra Caliente (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in Houston, Texas, handles information related to this website. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. This website has no contact form, account, or login, and does not ask you to submit personal information. To reach us you call the truck directly or order through a third-party delivery app — so the website itself does not collect what you send.
Information collected automatically. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view — in server logs used to deliver the site and guard against abuse. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
- We do not load advertising, analytics, pixel, session-recording, or fingerprinting scripts.
- We do not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or profiling (see our Cookie Notice).
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How we use your information
Because the site collects no information you submit, there is nothing from the website for us to use, sell, or share. If you call us, or reach us through a delivery app, we use your details only to take your order, answer your question, or plan catering — nothing else. We never sell or rent your information.
4. When we share it
We share information only with service providers that help us operate — for example, the company that hosts this website — and only as needed to run the site. This site embeds a Google Map so you can find us, and loads fonts from Google Fonts; both are provided by Google. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We never sell it.
5. How long we keep it
If you place a phone order or ask us about catering, we keep your contact details only as long as we need them to handle that, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner (see Section 7).
6. How we protect it
This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, we collect only what we need, and we limit who can access anything you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Your privacy rights
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and residents of other states may have similar rights. Subject to verification, you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
- Correct inaccuracies in it;
- Delete it;
- Obtain a portable copy of what you provided;
- Opt out of any sale or targeted advertising — though we do neither.
To make a request, see our Data Request page. We will respond within 45 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
8. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above.
